Yarn Bombing the Smithsonian Renwick Museum, DC

I was in DC yesterday and decided to leave the American Craft Museum a gift, because it just fit so nicely!

It was fantastic because as soon as we installed the piece, people were posing with it! I kind of wonder how long this lasted..

If anyone has any info please feel free to let me know!

Yarn Bombing in San Diego

So I was in San Diego last week and felt that I wanted to leave a little gift behind.  I jimmied up this tree and balanced on a terribly unstable little twig to hang this piece in the Hillcrest neighborhood, but it was all worth it!  You can find this tree at the intersection of 5th Ave and University Avenue.

It’s not necessarily the subversiveness of graffiti, not getting back at the system. It’s about people going out there. It’s not a venue that may be meant for them, you just saw a spot that looked awesome to do something, and you didn’t ask any questions. I like that about it . It opens up the realm of possibility.
